Hello, I’m Michelle. For over 40 years, I’ve been deeply involved in education — 25 of those as a Primary School teacher. Working with children and families has been my lifelong passion, and over that time I’ve seen just how much of a difference the right support can make. I set up 121 Teaching to give children the individual attention they deserve and to give parents the tools and confidence to support learning at home.
My sessions are designed around each child’s needs, learning style, and personality — helping them feel understood, valued, and capable. Alongside my work with children, I also coach and support parents, whether they’re homeschooling or simply want to feel more confident helping with schoolwork. I share practical strategies, insight into how children learn best, and ways to make learning an enjoyable, rewarding part of everyday life.
With a degree in Child Development, a PGCE in Primary Education, and qualifications in adult teaching, I bring both expertise and empathy to my work. But more than that, I believe in creating a learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, parents feel supported, and everyone can see the progress being made. This isn’t just my profession — it’s my purpose. Every child has the potential to thrive, and I’m here to help unlock it.
